Congrats to Skullcandy rider, Eero Ettala. First he gets the September cover of Onboard mag in Europe. Then, he grabs the cover of Transworld Snowboarding for October (due out next week). And recently, we got to bask in his glory when he dropped by our San Clemente office. Rad.
The Onboard cover shot came about after Eero had been hunting down the perfect electrical tower for over a year. If you can't go over it, go through it, right? So, with Pasi Salminen shooting some “super weird artsy angle” below the tower and Eero hitting it ninja style, they got the cover and a banger video shot all in one. Watch it below.
You can read all about the making of Ettala's “Cooking With Gas” full video part in the Pro Spotlight section of the TW Snow October issue. It took all last winter and six edits to assemble, and it had to be insane fun to shoot. From an urban assault in Finland to deep powder in Japan to Californian shredding, and a little hot-tubbing in between – we can only imagine what ended up on the cutting room floor.
